Circuit Safari Supper

Over fifty people gathered at St Andrew's at 5.15pm on Saturday 12th May 2008 for the start of the Circuit Safari Supper.

Participants enjoyed cauliflower & broccoli soup, melon or mushroom vol-au-vent for their starter, and then moved on to Central where the main course was served. Here the choice was bacon & cheese potato bake, or cheese, tomato and bacon pasta bake, or cold chicken. All the choices were accompanied by salad and bread rolls.

Dessert was served at Birstall where a wide variety of options were available - and there was plenty left for seconds!

The final port of call was Birkenshaw where Coffee and mints were served.

The whole event was rounded off by a good sing, led by Anne Smaje and with Alan Littlewood at the piano.

At the time of writing, the amount raised by the event for Home and Overseas Missions is unknown.

The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part, and thanks to the organisers and those who prepared the food for all the hard work that they put into it. It was well worth it.
