Pathways of Prayer

Pathways of Prayer grew out of the nationwide Pray Without Ceasing initiative held in 2006.

Since then, prayer days and other events have been held on a regular basis around the Circuit.

Last summer representatives from all the Churches met and came up with lots of ideas to encourage the prayer life of the Circuit.

It was decided to put a Prayer insert into the quarterly plan to encourage people in their devotional prayer at home. Starting with the December 2009 to February 2010 plan, there is now a prayer focus for every week, in a handy pull-out format. Members of Gomersal Methodist Church provided the bible verses, sayings and prayers for the first quarter and those at Broomfield and East Bierley are continuing the series. We are grateful for the inspiration, encouragement, comfort and challenge that these bring and praise God for his goodness to us all.

In March 2010 there will be a Circuit Service of Prayer. This will be a service of Praise and Thanksgiving for answered prayer. Some of us know we so often forget our many blessings and we don’t give enough thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour. Members of all the Circuit‘s Fellowship/House/Cell groups have been asked if they would like to contribute prayers for this service.
