New Life Centre
Since Rev Pete Taljaard came to the Circuit from South Africa in 2000-02, we’ve been supporting the New Life Centre in Bellville, South Africa. This was partly because of Pete’s personal knowledge of the Project and also that, at the time, his daughter was working there. We took it on as a Circuit charity, and I am grateful for all the individuals and churches that have contributed to the £3,090 (that’s an impressive 42,705 in South African Rand!) we have sent over the seven years.
Now there has been a change of personnel here and at the New Life Centre, we made a decision as a Circuit to close the account we had established. We can still pray for Nico and Suzette, the new houseparents at this centre for vulnerable young women, and the many young lives they change through Christian compassion and concern.
